UHT milk has been treated with Ultra-high temperature (hence UHT). This ultra-pasteurisation safely heats the milk to a higher-than-usual temperature to kill bacteria in the milk that causes the milk to spoil, producing milk with longer life.
It’s real milk, just like the kind you buy chilled in the dairy aisle, but the pasteurisation process gives it a shelf life longer than normal milk.
