Rich coconut and sweet pineapple blend into a creamy, refreshing cocktail that tastes like an instant escape. Made with Monin syrup for consistent sweetness and perfect balance, this Pina Colada delivers that holiday feeling without needing a plane ticket. ## You will need - Sling style glass - Cocktail shaker - Strainer ## Ingredients - 20 ml [MONIN Pineapple syrup](https://www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk/monin-pineapple-syrup-700ml-1350) - 50 ml Coconut Rum - 50 ml Coconut milk - 100 ml Pineapple juice - 20 ml Lime juice - 2 drops Saline solution - Pineapple leaves (optional garnish) --- **Tasting Notes:** Creamy coconut richness meets bright pineapple sweetness. The velvety body has a refreshing tropical finish. ## How to make MONIN Pina Colada 1. 1 Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. 2. 2 Add all ingredients and shake hard. 3. 3 Strain into a sling style glass with crushed ice. 4. 4 Enjoy! --- **Why This Recipe Works:** Pineapple provides natural acidity that cuts through coconut creaminess. The syrup ensures smooth sweetness. Rum adds depth without overshadowing tropical flavours. The texture stays balanced blended or shaken. ## Pina Colada FAQs ### What rum is best? White rum for a classic profile; dark rum adds richer molasses notes. ### Blended or shaken? Blended gives a frozen texture; shaken gives a lighter body. ### Can I make it dairy-free? Yes, coconut milk or coconut cream is naturally dairy-free. ### Can I make it alcohol-free? Remove rum and keep the pineapple-coconut base. ### Why is my Pina Colada too watery? Too much ice or over-blending. Use crushed ice sparingly. ### What garnish works best? Fresh pineapple wedge or leaf. ![Monin Pina Colada](https://www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk/images/recipes/Monin-Cocktails/pina-colada-cocktail-recipe-001.jpg) ## About this recipe Creamy coconut and juicy pineapple in a glass, basically a holiday for anyone stuck in grim British weather.
