This MONIN version keeps the flavour crisp and clean: a mix of four light spirits lifted by fresh lemon juice, rounded with triple sec and pure cane sugar, then finished with a splash of cola for colour and smooth sweetness. Strong, refreshing and deceptively drinkable. ## You will need - Cocktail Shaker - Strainer - Highball Glasses ## Ingredients - 20 ml [MONIN Triple Sec](https://www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk/monin-triple-sec-syrup-700ml-937) - 15 ml [MONIN Pure Cane Sugar syrup](https://www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk/monin-pure-cane-sugar-syrup-700ml-1351) - 10 ml London Dry Gin - 10 ml vodka - 10 ml tequila blanco - 10 ml white rum - 25 ml lemon juice - Cola, to top --- **Tasting Notes:** Crisp lemon brightens a smooth mix of light spirits, finished with cola’s soft caramel sweetness. Strong, refreshing and surprisingly balanced. ## How to make MONIN Long Island Ice Tea 1. 1 Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. 2. 2 Add all ingredients except cola. 3. 3 Shake to combine. 4. 4 Strain into a highball glass with ice cubes. 5. 5 Float the cola over the top. --- **Why This Recipe Works:** Equal small measures of four spirits prevent any one from dominating. Triple sec adds citrus depth, syrup adds balance, and cola ties everything together with colour and smoothness. ## Long Island Ice Tea FAQs ### What spirits are in a Long Island? Vodka, gin, tequila blanco, white rum and triple sec are the usual ingredients. Follow our recipe above for a great version of this classic cocktail. ### Why does it taste like iced tea? Cola gives the colour and slight tannic impression. ### Is it really that strong? Yes, the combination of spirits creates a high ABV. ### Can I make a lighter version? Reduce the spirits or increase cola. ### What glass should I use? Highball or hurricane glass with ice. ### Can I make it alcohol-free? You can mimic flavour with cola, citrus and tea syrup. ![Monin Long Island Ice Tea](https://www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk/images/recipes/Monin-Cocktails/long-island-cocktail-recipe-001.jpg) ## About this recipe A punchy, citrus-laced mix built for people who apparently hate subtlety.
