Turkish\u00a0Ibriks are usually made from either brass or copper. You can also find modern versions which are made from stainless steel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brewing with an ibrik:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When preparing to use an ibrik, just remember that the proportions are quite simple, you just add one of everything per cup. For the instructions below we are using a 3-cup ibrik.<\/p>\n<p>The grind of your coffee will need to be very, very fine &#8211; almost powdery.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add 3 very heaped teaspoons of Turkish ground coffee into the ibrik.<\/li>\n<li>Add 3 heaped teaspoons of sugar to the ibrik.<\/li>\n<li>Measure your 3 cups of water using the coffee cups you will serve the coffee with.<\/li>\n<li>At this point, you can experiment by adding cardamom pods or a stick of aniseed\/cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>Add the ibrik over low heat and wait for it to boil.<\/li>\n<li>As soon as the brew threatens to boil over, remove it from the heat, stir and re-add to the heat.<\/li>\n<li>It will quickly boil again and instantly remove from the heat.
